I hope that it has not become annoying that I have been the only one commenting recently, but the last few entries have been very interesting. In fact, they have been in alignment with what I have been studying recently during my devotions, so I cannot resist in commenting.
I cannot comprehend that God would forcibly downsize a company effecting the business in such a way that would threaten the livelyhood of many families, just so a door would be closed for Mike and his job situation. That in my opinion would be a rationalization on Mike’s part to make sense of what God is doing. Was there a strong impression from the Holy Spirit prior to these events or a word from reading the Holy Scripture that told you to leave this job and seek another? If not I believe that this travisty is of the world, but that does not mean that God does not recognize your painful struggles and He certainly has a new plan for your life being put into place as we speak.
I do not believe that God will always provide a clear road for us to follow. He will not always give us a Word or a scripture that will make everything crystal clear. Sometimes when we do not hear from God on a particular matter, I believe He is giving us a choice for HIs perfect will to be followed through with. There might be many choices that allign with his perfect will because none of the choices might not be better than the others so far as He is concerned, and He might consider them all good. When we do not hear a specific Word from God we should not be discouraged, but have faith that He expects and trusts us to make the decision, and He then goes with us in our choice.
